Jellyfil Privacy Policy
This site collects what an order and an inbox need: name, email, phone, delivery address, order ID and basic page analytics. Card details are entered at the checkout and held by the payment processor, never by this site. Nothing is sold or rented. To see, correct or delete your data, email [email protected]. New York law applies.
What this Jellyfil privacy policy covers
This policy covers jellyfildaily.com, the website you are reading, run by Jellyfildaily as the USA Authorized Jellyfil Retailer. It explains what we collect, why, who sees it and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written in plain English on purpose.
One boundary matters more than the rest. When you click an order link you leave this website and land on a separate checkout run by the seller and its payment processor. Your card details are entered there, not here, and they are held under that system's terms. This site never sees a card number.
What data is collected, and why
Only what the job needs. The table lists every category this site and its order route touch, in plain terms rather than legal ones.
| What is collected | Where it comes from | Why it exists | How long it stays |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your name, email, phone and delivery address | You, at the checkout | To take payment, pack the parcel and reach you about the order | As long as the seller's accounting and tax duties require |
| Order ID, pack ordered and purchase date | The checkout system | To run the order and the 60-day money-back window | The same period as the order record |
| Card details | You, entered on the payment page | To take payment. The payment processor holds these, not this website | Held by the processor under its own terms |
| The email you send us | You, when you write in | To answer the question you asked | Until the matter is closed, then deleted on request |
| Basic page analytics: pages viewed, rough location, device type | Your browser | To see which pages are read and which are broken | Aggregated, and not used to identify you |
| Your cookie choice | You, from the cookie banner if one is shown | So the site stops asking | Until you clear your browser storage |
How long each category stays is set by the job it does. An order record has to survive long enough for the seller to meet its accounting and tax duties, which is a period measured in years rather than weeks. An email about a typo on a page has no such duty attached to it, so it goes when the matter is closed. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form, where it is no longer about any one visitor.
We do not collect health information, we do not ask about your medical history, and no form on this site invites you to describe a symptom. If you write one into an email, we will answer without recording it, and the honest reply will be that a health question belongs with your doctor rather than a retailer.
Cookies and measurement on this site
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage. Some are needed to serve the page and remember your cookie choice. The rest are measurement, and they exist so we can see which pages people read and which links are broken.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time, and the pages will still work. What you lose is the site remembering that you already answered the cookie question. Analytics data is looked at in aggregate. We are interested in whether the Supplement Facts page gets read, not in following an individual around.
Some pages carry order links that pass a referral code to the checkout, so the seller knows the order came from this site. That is how we get paid, it is disclosed on the disclaimer page, and it does not give us access to your payment details.
Who your information is shared with
A short list, and nobody on it is buying your data. We do not sell personal information and we do not rent mailing lists.
- The payment processor, which takes the card and holds the card data
- The fulfilment and shipping partners, which need a name and an address to deliver a parcel
- The order desk, which needs your order record to answer the phone usefully
- Analytics and hosting providers, which see technical data as part of serving the page
- A court or regulator, if the law requires it, which is the only case where we hand over data without asking you
Each of those parties gets only what the task needs. A courier gets an address, not your order history. The order desk gets your order, not the emails you sent this website about a typo.
Marketing email is a separate matter from order email. If you opt in at checkout you may get offers from the seller, and every one of those messages carries an unsubscribe link that works. Order emails are different: the confirmation, the tracking note and any message about a refund are part of running the sale, so they keep coming until the order is finished even if you have unsubscribed from marketing.
Your choices and how to use them
You can ask what is held, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and ask us to stop sending marketing email. Use the website inbox for this site, and the order desk for anything with an order number.
Ask what we hold
Write to the website inbox and ask. We will tell you what is held about you, where it came from and who it was shared with.
Ask us to fix it
A wrong address or a misspelled name gets corrected. Order records are corrected by the order desk, since that is where they live.
Ask us to delete it
We delete what we can. Records the seller must keep for tax and accounting stay until that duty ends, and we will say so plainly.
Ask us to stop emailing
Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link. Order emails are not marketing and keep coming until the order is finished.
Ask where it went
We name the processors involved rather than hiding behind the phrase trusted partners.
Complain to a person
Write to the website inbox, or call +1 (507) 448-8190 for anything tied to an order. You can also complain to your state authority.
We will reply within a reasonable time and always inside any period the law sets. If we cannot do what you asked, you will get the reason rather than silence. If part of a record has to stay for accounting reasons, we will say which part and why.
Children, security and changes to this policy
Jellyfil is sold to adults 18 and over, and this site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to the website inbox and we will delete it.
On security, we use ordinary protections: encrypted connections, access limited to the people who need it, and no card data stored on this site at all. No website can promise perfect security, and anyone who does is overselling. What we can promise is that we do not keep what we do not need.
This policy may change, for example when a processor changes. The version date at the foot of the page is the one in force, and material changes will be described on the page rather than slipped in. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute about it belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in New York County, New York. The wider agreement for using the site is set out in the terms and conditions.
Privacy questions people ask
Do you sell my personal information?
No. Your data goes to the processors that take the payment, deliver the parcel and run the order desk, plus hosting and analytics providers that make the page work. It is not sold or rented to anyone.
Does this website store my card details?
No. Card details are entered on the checkout after you leave this site, and they are held by the payment processor. This website never sees a card number.
How do I ask for my data to be deleted?
Email [email protected] with the word privacy in the subject line. If the data is part of an order, the request also has to reach the order desk on +1 (507) 448-8190 or [email protected], because that is where order records are held.
Can I use the site without cookies?
Yes. Block or clear them in your browser and every page still works. The site will simply ask about cookies again on your next visit.
What law applies to this policy?
New York law. Any dispute about this policy is heard in the state or federal courts sitting in New York County, New York.
Do you collect health information?
No. No form here asks about your health, and we do not keep a record of a medical detail you mention in an email. Health questions belong with your doctor.
Who do I complain to if I am not happy?
Write to [email protected] first, and say what you want fixed. You can also raise a complaint with the consumer protection authority in your state.
